  13. While the commercial version of Picture Window is available only
  14. on CD-ROM, it includes floppy disk images for installation on
  15. notebook or other computers that do not have a CD-ROM drive.

  17. The release CD-ROM includes the following items in addition to the
  18. Picture Window 2.0 software:

  20. 1) Complete electronic manual in Adobe Acrobat format and a copy of
  21. the latest Acrobat reader. Using Acrobat, you can view the manual on
  22. your computer screen, search the manual for any word or phrase, or
  23. print out all or part of the manual for offline reference.

  25. 2) White papers in Adobe Acrobat format. These electronic documents
  26. explore various topics such as retouching, scanning, digital image
  27. basics, and color balancing in depth and are full of useful
  28. information, tips, and examples.

  30. 3) Ten images in Photo CD format. The release disk may be opened as
  31. if it were a Photo CD and the images it contains are available for
  32. your royalty-free use.

  34. 4) Monitor calibration overlay. Using this patented film overlay
  35. in conjunction with Picture Window's Calibrate command, you can
  36. calibrate your monitor's gamma to exactly 2.22 which is the
  37. standard value used by Photo CD, the video industry, sRGB, etc.

  39. 5) Bonus programs and files. The release CD-ROM contains an
  40. illustrated glossary of digital imaging terms in the form of a
  41. Windows help file and two special purpose calculators: one for
  42. computing the depth of field of a lens and the other for choosing
  43. the best resolution at which to scan an image based on the desired
  44. final print size and printer technology.
